The Colours of … 500BC – 500AD

I came up with the idea for these small selections many, many years ago – such a simple idea to show off some of the colours available in a particular period of history.  (often copied these days, I feel this is great form of flattery!)

500BC – 500AD (Roman) colours are –  Madder, Light Woad, Weld and Woad, Weld, Walnut

These sets are made up of 5 skeins of British 2/15’s wool, 15 m in length, they are ideal for making braids or embroidery, or simply showing off!
