The Colours of … The Bayeux Tapestry

Our Colours of … the Bayeux Tapestry are a special collection of Embroidery Wools. Using only the 3 main dyes that cover the whole of our dyeing past – and used in the original Bayeux Tapestry, we believe – Madder, Weld and Woad. These yarns are beautiful 2/24’s merino wool, worsted spun and perfect for both stitching and weaving. There are 14 colours in the set.

The 14 colours included are Dark red, Terracotta, Orange, Gold, Pale Yellow, Beige, Dark Blue, Mid Blue, Pale Blue, Dark Green, Pale Green, Olive Green, Sage Green, Blue – Black.
